Business Development Expert

Our organization is seeking a seasoned Business Development professional to lead the expansion of our petrochemicals business into oil rigs and exploration assets. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent negotiation, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive growth in the petrochemicals vertical by identifying, evaluating, and pursuing strategic acquisition opportunities, particularly underperforming oil rigs in India and internationally.
  • Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of potential acquisition targets in coastal regions globally.
  • Leverage existing network and build strategic relationships with key stakeholders in the global petrochemical and oil exploration sector.
  • Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams – legal, finance, technical – to execute deals smoothly.
  • Monitor and assess market trends, regulatory changes, and competitive landscape to identify new growth avenues.

Requirements:

  • 15+ years of experience in business development, M&A, or strategy in the petrochemicals/oil & gas sector.
  • Proven track record of deal-making, especially with international assets or companies.
  • Deep understanding of upstream oil & gas operations, especially rig operations.
  • Strong global network in the petrochemical space, especially in coastal countries with active oil rigs.
  • Excellent negotiation, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • MBA or relevant technical qualification preferred.
