About this Role

">

The Cloud Infrastructure Architect will play a pivotal role in establishing and leading the development of a Cloud Center of Excellence (COE) environment leveraging AWS technologies. This individual will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing our cloud infrastructure, ensuring its security, scalability, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

">
  • Designing, building, and deploying cloud solutions using various cloud services and platforms (AWS)">
  • Providing guidance and technical expertise on cloud adoption, migration, and optimization">
  • Developing scripts to automate systems administration and monitoring activities">
  • Providing technical support on AWS-related issues, monitoring solutions, and implementing appropriate strategies to eliminate performance bottlenecks">
  • Working with Infrastructure and Product teams on issues related to AWS design and architecture and assisting with Proof-of-Concept development and testing">

Qualifications">

Education:

">
  • BA/BS in Computer Science or related field">
  • AWS Cloud Practitioner certification, AWS SysOps Administrator Certification, Certified Solutions Architect - Associate or equivalent AWS Cloud Engineering/Architecture experience">

Required Skills and Qualifications">

Technical Skills:

">
  • AWS Cloud Practitioner certification, AWS SysOps Administrator Certification, Certified Solutions Architect - Associate or equivalent AWS Cloud Engineering/Architecture experience">
  • 3+ years of AWS administration experience, including API Gateway, S3, ECS, EKS, Fargate, EC2, Lambda, WAF, and CloudTrail">
  • 3+ years deploying Infrastructure as Code using tools such as CloudFormation or Terraform">
  • 3+ years of experience are necessary, including designing and implementing AWS solutions">
  • Experience on cloud architecture patterns, design principles, and best practices">
  • Working experience (intermediate) of networking concepts (routing, switching, firewalls, etc.)">
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment in driving technical problems to resolution">
  • Excellent troubleshooting and root cause-analysis skills">
  • Excellent working knowledge of Windows and Linux server technologies">
  • Experience working with third-party service providers such as vendors and internal support groups">
  • Ability to plan and implement change for enterprise systems and adhere to standard change management processes">

Desirable Technical Skills:

  • Experience working in an outsourced/managed services environment with some client-facing responsibilities (e.g. technical discussions with the client)">
  • Familiarity with WebLogic or equivalent application server platforms">
  • Familiarity with Atlassian (Gerrit, Confluence, Artifactory, Jenkins) and other DevOps tools">
  • Strong Working knowledge of Local and Wide area networking technologies">
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment in driving technical problems to resolution">
  • Experience supporting fast-paced development environments utilizing Agile and DevOps methodologies">
  • Ability to communicate complex technical information to less technical staff (e.g. CGI management and client staff)">
  • Strong understanding of broader technology context (e.g. network and database technologies)">
  • Ability to mentor other team members in areas of technical expertise">
