Job Title: Policy and Compliance Manager

Location: Mumbai

Business Unit/Function: Liabilities - Consumer Bank

Reports to: Head - Retail Liabilities & Payment Products

Job Description:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance of various liabilities & payment products as per regulators like RBI / Internal Audit Teams/NPCI. They will work on process & policy framework for products including (but not limited to) Savings Account, Fixed Deposits, Debit Cards& Payment Products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and adhere to all compliance-related items and assist in external and internal audits
  • Strengthen systems, controls, and processes for robust internal and external compliance
  • Liaise with different departments to ensure all RBI related circulars are strictly adhered to
  • Good understanding of RBI Processes & Policies, Audit Parameters, AML Guidelines, Fraud Management
  • Responsible for all regulatory reporting related to policies and processes including reporting to RBI / AML / CPU Teams
  • Determine the impact of introducing new or revised policies for Branches / Customers / Products
  • Serve as a focal point to ensure continuity, proper integration, and implementation of new or revised policies and processes
  • Build synergies and efficiencies by way of customer-centric processes
  • Interact and coordinate with multiple product teams and business functions for effective and efficient delivery within specified timelines
  • Draft and review process guidelines for Product Teams; Act as a mediator for answering questions related to policies & processes
  • Identify duplicate, redundant, and unproductive tasks in processes with an aim to reduce costs and improve productivity of the front-line staff

Education and Work Experience Requirements:

Preferable MBA from Tier 1/Tier 2 college

Prior experience in setting up policies & processes for Liabilities Products will be an added advantage
