Job Role:

This is a senior email security position that focuses on safeguarding the organization from evolving email threats. The role involves protecting sensitive information and maintaining trust with clients and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive investigations into email threats using advanced tools and techniques to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Design and implement detection rules to enhance email security systems, ensuring timely identification of potential threats.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members, promoting their professional development and enhancing team capabilities.
  • Collaborate with SOC teams to address advanced persistent threats, ensuring a unified response to security incidents.
  • Analyse threat intelligence data to inform security strategies and improve email security posture.
  • Ensure that email security practices comply with relevant regulations and industry standards, contributing to the overall governance framework.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • 3-6 years of experience in email security, cybersecurity, or a related domain.
  • Proficiency in email security platforms, particularly Proofpoint or similar technologies.
  • Strong understanding of threat intelligence, email forensics, and incident response methodologies.
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell for automation and analysis.
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA) as they pertain to email security.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
