MEP Project Engineer

This individual will oversee the design, implementation, and management of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems within commercial buildings.

  • Design and Planning: Develop comprehensive designs for HVAC systems, power distribution, and plumbing, ensuring seamless integration with overall building architecture.
  • Collaboration: Foster effective working relationships with architects, construction managers, and other engineering disciplines to guarantee successful MEP system integration.
  • System Management: Oversee equipment and component selection, installation, and maintenance for all MEP systems, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Compliance: Ensure all systems meet relevant building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards, minimizing potential risks and liabilities.
  • Efficiency and Sustainability: Design and optimize MEP systems to achieve energy efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and minimal environmental impact.
  • Documentation: Prepare and review detailed technical specifications, drawings, and cost estimates for all MEP scope of work, facilitating clear communication among stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve complex issues related to MEP systems during the design, installation, or operational phases, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption.
Key Qualifications:
  • Technical Expertise: A strong foundation in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, including HVAC, power systems, and water distribution.
  • Project Management: Ability to manage project timelines, resources, and budgets related to MEP installations, ensuring successful project delivery.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with various teams and stakeholders, promoting clear understanding and expectations.
  • Problem-Solving: Aptitude for critical thinking and resolving complex technical challenges, ensuring innovative solutions and minimal downtime.
  • Attention to Detail: Precision in reviewing designs and specifications to ensure accuracy, compliance, and quality assurance.
Requirements:

A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with 6 to 8 years of experience in high-rise building or residential building projects is required.
