Job Title: Experienced Backend DeveloperRuby on Rails Professional Job Description:

We are seeking a talented Ruby on Rails developer to manage the exchange of data between our users and the server. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining the server-side logic for the central database, testing performance, troubleshooting, and integrating front-end elements into the application.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with Ruby on Rails as well as libraries like Resque and RSpec. They should be able to write clean Ruby code and be proficient with code versioning tools including Git, GitHub, SVN, and Mercurial.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop new web applications.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot existing web applications.
  • Write and maintain reliable Ruby code.
  • Integrate data storage solutions.
  • Create back-end components.
  • Identify and fix bottlenecks and bugs.
  • Integrate user-facing elements designed by the front-end team.
  • Connect applications with additional web servers.
  • Maintain APIs.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related field.
  • Experience working with Ruby on Rails and associated libraries.
  • Ability to write clean Ruby code.
  • Proficiency with code versioning tools.
  • Experience with AngularJS or BackboneJS.
  • Familiarity with MVC, Mocking, RESTful, and ORM.
  • Good understanding of front-end technologies including HTML5, JavaScript, and CSS3.
  • Knowledge of server-side templating languages including Slim and Liquid.
  • Familiarity with testing tools.
