Job Title: Senior Director of Finishing Operations

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Director of Finishing Operations to oversee and manage our fabric finishing operations. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a team of professionals and drive process improvements, cost optimization, and compliance with quality and sustainability standards.

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in fabric finishing, leadership skills to manage large teams, and the ability to drive initiatives that reduce defects, rework, and waste.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the finishing department, including bleaching, dyeing, printing, washing, and other finishing processes.
  • Ensure adherence to production schedules and customer delivery commitments.
  • Monitor machine utilization, efficiency, and workflow to optimize capacity.

Quality Assurance:

  • Oversee quality control processes to ensure fabrics meet required customer specifications and international standards.
  • Drive initiatives to reduce defects, rework, and waste.
  • Implement best practices for process consistency and product reliability.

Process Improvement & Innovation:

  • Implement lean manufacturing practices and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Introduce new finishing techniques and technologies to improve efficiency, quality, and sustainability.
  • Collaborate with R&D and technical teams on process development and new product trials.

Compliance & Safety:

  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Maintain standards in line with customer audits, certifications, and sustainability requirements (e.g., ZDHC, OEKO-TEX, GOTS).
  • Enforce strict adherence to EHS guidelines within the finishing operations.

Pre-Requisites:

  • Bachelor's degree in Textile Engineering / Chemical Engineering / Production Management or related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 12+ years of experience in fabric finishing, with at least 5 years in a senior managerial role in a reputed fabric/textile mill.
