Operational Excellence Specialist Role Summary

As an Operational Excellence Specialist, you will play a crucial role in driving business results by developing and executing strategies to improve operational effectiveness and profitability. You will collaborate with site leadership teams and directors to develop and lead performance transformation initiatives, focusing on continuous improvement culture and process excellence.

  • Develop and implement cost-saving projects through operational efficiencies.
  • Establish policies and standards for group manufacturing excellence.
  • Create OEE programs to track, identify, and eliminate lost production causes.
  • Conduct diagnostics to identify areas for improvement.
  • Facilitate value stream mapping exercises to define processes and work with sites to implement or streamline/improve use of LEAN tools, 5S, Six Sigma, etc.
  • Propose and support projects and programs within businesses for the identification of improvement levers, setting smart objectives, and carrying out Manufacturing Excellence programs.
  • Support the execution of improvement projects by promoting the use of proven tools and approaches to achieve manufacturing excellence.
  • Ensure sustainable improvements through providing training and skill-building of leaders.
  • Lead and mentor leadership team members, facilitating a culture that motivates employees.
  • Recommend and implement methods to increase quality of products and/or services.
  • Participate in self-development activities and training of others.
  • Exhibit safety awareness and safe work practices, protecting employees and visitors by maintaining a safe and clean working environment.
  • Work closely with other OE Managers in US, EU & IN sites and the Director of OE (US, EU & IN) to implement improvement initiatives.
  • Perform other related duties as may be reasonably assigned in the course of business or as requested.
