Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

1. Architecture and Implementation of Automation Frameworks

Design and develop scalable automation frameworks for Web UI, Mobile Apps, APIs, and backend systems.

Ensure that automation frameworks are flexible and can be adapted to various projects and technologies.

2. Strategic Alignment

Collaborate with engineering leadership to ensure automation strategies are aligned with business objectives.

Act as a thought leader, influencing the direction of automation strategies across multiple projects.

3. Leadership and Mentorship

Provide guidance and mentorship to team members on automation methodologies, tools, and best practices.

Lead by example, driving the adoption of advanced testing methodologies such as TDD and BDD.

4. CI/CD Integration

Develop and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines with seamless integration of automation tools.

Ensure that automation is a key component of the software delivery lifecycle, enhancing deployment efficiency and reliability.

5. Design Pattern Application

Apply design patterns to create reusable, efficient, and maintainable test automation solutions.

Ensure that the automation solutions are optimized for performance and scalability.

6. Continuous Improvement

Stay abreast of emerging testing tools and technologies; evaluate and recommend their adoption.

Drive continuous improvement in testing tools, frameworks, and practices to enhance quality and efficiency.

7. Cross-functional Collaboration

Work closely with cross-functional teams including development, testing, DevOps, and product management to ensure seamless integration of automation solutions.

Act as a liaison between various teams to resolve any challenges related to automation.

8. Subject Matter Expertise

Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in automation best practices, guiding the organization in the adoption and implementation of cutting-edge techniques.

Experiment with new tools and techniques to push the boundaries of what is possible with automation.

9. Problem-solving and Innovation

Analyze existing customer challenges and design context-specific solutions to address them.

Drive innovation by experimenting with AI/ML-based testing tools and practices to enhance automation.

Requirements:

Experience: 12-15 years of experience in software testing, with a minimum of 8 years in test automation.

Technical Expertise: Hands-on experience with DevOps practices, including CI/CD and cloud deployments.

Strong knowledge of design patterns and their application in test automation.

Coding skills in relevant languages and tools for test automation.

Communication and Collaboration: Excellent communication skills with the ability to work across various teams.

Familiarity with Agile practices and the ability to quickly adapt to changing project needs.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a similar Automation Architect role, managing testing across multiple project teams.

Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for continuous learning in testing.

Knowledge of AI/ML-based testing tools and practices.
