Java Backend Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Java Backend Engineer to join our team.

A successful candidate will have 5-7 years of experience working in Java and demonstrating good Java knowledge.

  • Mandatory Skills: Git, API Gateway, Microservices, Postman, SpringBoot, JUNIT, Maven, Selenium Testing Automation, Swagger, Java Microservices.

The ideal candidate will be able to work independently as well as part of a team. Experience with Agile or SAFe development environments is also a plus.

This role involves driving user story analysis, elaboration, design, and development of responsive web applications using best engineering practices.

You will perform hands-on software development, unit testing, conducting proof of concepts, code reviews, and testing in ongoing sprints.

This position requires a strong understanding of distributed systems, familiarity with web fundamentals and HTTP protocol, and a solid understanding of building scalable web applications using Java.

Responsibilities
  • Drive user story analysis, elaboration, design, and development of responsive web applications.
  • Perform hands-on software development, typically spending most time writing code, unit tests, conducting proof of concepts, code reviews, and testing in ongoing sprints.
  • Develop deep understanding of integrations with other systems and platforms within supported domains.
  • Work closely with product managers, backend, and other frontend engineers to implement versatile solutions to tricky web development problems.
