Experienced Kafka Cluster Architect

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in deploying and managing production-grade Kafka clusters, focusing on high availability and fault tolerance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deploy and upgrade Kafka clusters utilizing tools like Ansible and Chef for seamless integration with existing infrastructure.
  • Troubleshoot critical production issues, optimizing Kafka performance and minimizing downtime through root cause analysis and effective troubleshooting techniques.
  • Configure MirrorMaker for data replication between two data centers, ensuring effective disaster recovery and business continuity.
  • Manage Provectus Kafka UI on a Kubernetes cluster for real-time monitoring and management, providing insights into cluster performance and behavior.
  • Integrate Schema Registry and deploy multiple Kafka Connectors to facilitate seamless data flow and efficient data processing.
  • Onboard new users by managing ACL permissions, creating topics, and implementing end-to-end security with SSL/TLS, ensuring secure data transmission and access control.
  • Design and manage Kafka infrastructure to enhance message processing efficiency, scalability, and reliability.
  • Conduct performance testing to optimize partitioning, replication, and retention policies, ensuring optimal cluster performance and resource utilization.
  • Integrate Kafka with ELK Stack and Solr for scalable data storage and analysis, providing valuable insights into business operations and customer behavior.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.

3+ years of experience in Kafka cluster administration.
