Senior Data Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Specialist to drive data-driven initiatives and develop scalable solutions. This role involves building efficient pipelines, working with streaming data, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Pipeline Development and Optimization: Develop robust data pipelines using Spark, PySpark, and SQL to manage and process large datasets efficiently.
  • Streaming Data Management: Design and maintain real-time streaming applications with Spark Streaming/Kafka, ensuring timely and accurate data processing.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with data scientists and product teams to integrate AI/ML models into production, driving business value through data insights.
Requirements:
  • Technical Expertise: Strong expertise in Python, Spark, PySpark, with hands-on experience in Spark SQL, DataFrames, UDFs, DAG execution, and knowledge of data ingestion tools (Kafka, Flume, Kinesis) and data formats (Parquet, Avro, ORC).
  • Cloud Deployment: Experience deploying on Databricks, AWS EMR, Azure HDInsight, or GCP Dataproc, ensuring seamless integration with cloud platforms.
  • Testing and CI/CD: Proficiency in testing and CI/CD for data pipelines using pytest, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and Airflow/Prefect for scheduling and orchestration.
