We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Workplace Designer to join our team. As a key member of our design department, you will be responsible for transforming interior spaces into functional and aesthetically pleasing environments.

This is a unique opportunity to showcase your artistic flair and technical expertise. You will be working closely with clients, project managers, and architects to design and deliver workspaces that exceed client expectations.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough research to understand the client's business needs, industry trends, challenges, and goals.
  • Analyze client workspace requirements and develop actionable plans to meet their needs.
  • Develop strong relationships with clients through effective communication and exceptional client experience.
  • Manage client expectations and address any issues or concerns promptly.
  • Create innovative conceptual design proposals that integrate comprehensive space planning, thoughtful color schemes, refined furniture selections, and sustainable material choices.
  • Craft compelling mood boards, 3D renderings, and articulate presentations to effectively communicate design concepts.
  • Design efficient space plans that optimize workflow, ergonomics, and alignment with client cultural values.
  • Leverage space utilization strategies to enhance productivity and foster a cohesive work culture.
  • Select materials, finishes, and furnishings that align with the envisioned aesthetic while meeting functional criteria.
  • Evaluate safety and sustainability standards, incorporating eco-conscious choices that reflect contemporary environmental imperatives and client values.
  • Ensure designs are optimized for durability, functionality, and visual appeal.
  • Develop project budgets and timelines, working within budget constraints to deliver cost-effective design solutions.
  • Sources and procure materials and furnishings within established budgets.
  • Enhance project financial performance by optimizing design solutions.
  • Prepare detailed design drawings, specifications, and documentation for construction and permitting purposes.
  • Maintain accurate project records and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Build and lead a high-performing team.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and professional development.
  • Align the team with organizational culture.
  • Consistently raise team performance levels.
  • Conduct site visits and assessments to gather essential information about existing spaces and conditions.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure the design is being implemented as planned and meets quality standards.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in architecture or a related field.
  • Experience in leading client pitches.
  • Minimum of 7-12 years of experience working on Workplace design projects and managing teams.
  • Proficiency in design software such as Sketchup, Revit, and Photoshop.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Project management experience is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
