Product Design Development Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Product Development and Design Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and designing innovative products using CAD software from concept to production release.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, from conceptual design to final product launch. They will be expected to develop and implement effective design solutions, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure timely project delivery.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and design innovative products using CAD (SolidWorks, Inventor, AutoCAD) from concept to production release.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, marketing, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure feasibility, cost, and functionality.
  • Lead design reviews, capture feedback, and iterate to improve performance and user value.
  • Create detailed 3D models, 2D drawings, GD&T, BOMs, and manufacturing specifications.
  • Analyze performance using simulation (FEA/CFD/motion), prototype and test, and troubleshoot issues.
  • Apply DFM/DFA and optimization techniques to enhance manufacturability, reliability, and cost.

Requirements:

  • Staying Current: Stay current on materials, processes, and industry trends to drive continuous improvement.
  • CAD Proficiency: Proficient in CAD; familiar with simulation tools and design optimization methods across the product lifecycle.
  • Industry Experience: Preferably with a strong background experience in Heavy equipment manufacturing Industry, Heavy fabrication industry, Stone Crushing equipment manufacturing industry.
