Structural Draftsman Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Structural Draftsman to join our team and support our structural engineering department by creating accurate and detailed BIM models and structural drawings.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Create 3D BIM models and structural drawings using Revit and AutoCAD based on engineering markups and design requirements.
  • Collaborate with architects, MEP engineers, and other disciplines to ensure model consistency and accuracy.
  • Produce detailed shop drawings, sections, and reinforcement detailing as required.
  • Update and maintain BIM models throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Evaluate company and project BIM standards and ensure compliance with local and international codes.
  • Assist in clash detection and coordination using Navisworks or similar software.
  • Review drafted output for quality control and manage drawing revisions.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or related field.
  • A minimum of [3-5] years' experience as a structural draftsman, with at least [2] years using BIM/Revit.
  • Proficiency in Revit Structure, AutoCAD, and familiarity with Navisworks.
  • Strong knowledge of structural systems (RC, steel, post-tensioning, etc.) and detailing standards.
  • Experience working on large-scale buildings, infrastructure, or villa projects is beneficial.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in Revit or BIM is desirable.
  • Familiarity with ISO 19650 or other BIM standards is an advantage.
  • Experience working in consultant or contractor environments in the UAE or GCC region is beneficial.
