We are seeking an exceptional Technical Visionary to spearhead the development of our cutting-edge technology stack.

This is a unique opportunity for a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a key engineering hire, working closely with our CTO and co-founders. The role requires a strong technical foundation, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for building core systems from scratch, including backend infrastructure, APIs, and orchestration engines. They will also shape architecture decisions that will define the direction of our platform for years to come.

This is not a traditional developer role – it's an opportunity to be a true architect and creator of our platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Core Systems Development: Own and build services like Orchestrator, droneAI APIs, and rider ops tooling.
  • Infra & DevOps: Deploy and manage AWS infrastructure (RDS, Redis, OSRM servers, ECS/Fargate, VPCs, CI/CD pipelines).
  • Ai/ml Integration: Productionize demand prediction, rider assignment, and fleet balancing models.
  • 0 → 1 Execution: Translate architecture into production code, keeping things simple and reliable.
  • Ownership & Leadership: Define best practices, review code, and grow into a leadership role as the team scales.

Requirements:

  • 5–8 Years of Experience: Building and shipping backend systems (Go and Python strongly preferred).
  • Distributed Systems Expertise: Strong grasp of microservices, API design, and distributed systems.
  • AWS Expertise: Experience with EC2, RDS/Postgres, Redis, networking basics (VPC, NAT, IGW).
  • DevOps Expertise: Comfort with Terraform, GitHub Actions, Docker, ECS.
  • Bonus Requirements: Geospatial systems (H3, OSRM, Redis Geo), real-time platforms, or ML inference integration.
