Quality Assurance Engineer

Job Description
  • Design and develop comprehensive test plans, cases, and scripts (manual and automated) to ensure seamless quality delivery.
  • Identify, document, and track bugs and issues using tracking tools to maintain a robust testing process.
  • Develop detailed testing documents such as STD, STR, SDD, SRS to support the testing lifecycle.
  • Perform regression, functional, integration, performance, and usability testing to guarantee high-quality outputs.
  • Establish and maintain automation frameworks for continuous testing and CI/CD pipelines to enhance efficiency.
  • Create and execute effective test strategies and processes that align with business objectives and project timelines.
  • Stay updated with industry best practices, tools, and technologies for quality assurance to drive innovation.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Proven experience 3–5 years as a QA Engineer in software development.
  • Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes to deliver exceptional results.
  • Hands-on experience with automation tools e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, TestNG, JUnit to streamline testing.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming/scripting language - Java, Python, JavaScript to ensure efficient code implementation.
  • Experience with version control systems e.g., Git and CI/CD pipelines to facilitate collaboration and deployment.
  • Experience designing and planning test conditions, test scripts, and test data sets to guarantee appropriate and adequate coverage and control.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development processes to adapt to changing requirements.
  • Experience with API testing - Postman, RestAssured to ensure seamless API interactions.
  • Knowledge of performance testing tools - JMeter, LoadRunner to evaluate system performance under various loads.
  • Exposure to cloud environments AWS, Azure, GCP and containerised applications Docker, Kubernetes to expand technological capabilities.
Qualification and Certification
  • B.E / B.tech / MCA degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Certification in QA testing will be an advantage to further enhance skills and expertise.
