Job Title: US Sales Tax Manager
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented professional to oversee the end-to-end management of sales and use tax compliance for our operations in the United States.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage accurate and timely filing of returns across multiple states and jurisdictions, liaising with external consultants, state departments, and auditors for sales tax audits, notices, and inquiries.
- Monitor legislative and regulatory changes in US indirect taxes and assess their impact on our business.
- Provide tax advice to internal stakeholders on customer invoicing, pricing structures, and procurement tax implications.
- Collaborate with IT and operations teams to ensure system tax settings are accurate and updated.
- Assist with process improvements and automation initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce risks.
- Maintain thorough documentation and controls to support tax positions and audit readiness.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in US sales & use tax, including filing and compliance.
- Strong knowledge of multi-state tax laws, exemptions, and regulations.
- Experience handling state audits and notices.
- Strong analytical and reconciliation skills, proficient in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy and accountability.
