Job Title: Cyber Security Awareness Specialist

This is a pivotal role within our organization, where you will be responsible for leading and implementing our cybersecurity awareness initiatives. As a seasoned professional in this field, you will play a key part in strengthening our organisation's cybersecurity posture.

The successful candidate will oversee Security Operations Centre activities, driving continuous improvement in threat detection and incident response, as well as lead strategic initiatives to enhance cybersecurity awareness across the enterprise.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure SOC operations align with regulatory standards, audit requirements, and industry best practices. Additionally, you will design and execute awareness programs that foster a security-first culture among employees, stakeholders, and partners.

The ideal candidate will possess strong cybersecurity knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to develop and implement effective campaign execution strategies.

  • Cybersecurity Knowledge:
    • A deep understanding of cybersecurity concepts, principles, and best practices.
    • Familiarity with relevant regulations, standards, and frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, CIS).
  • Communication Expertise:
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to create engaging, informative, and easily digestible security-related content (emailers, videos, infographics, playbooks, e-learnings).
  • Campaign Execution:
    • Strategic program development and execution.
    • Design and implement comprehensive cybersecurity awareness and behavior change programs tailored to various internal audiences.
  • Analytical Mindset:
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to collect and analyze data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
  • Stakeholder Management:
    • Excellent stakeholder management skills.
    • Ability to build and maintain relationships with cross-functional teams, including risk teams, HR, compliance, and IT.
  • Creativity and Innovation:
    • Ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions to complex problems.
    • Strong passion for cybersecurity and staying up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies.

The successful candidate will hold a Bachelor's degree in information technology, cybersecurity, communications, or a related field and certifications such as CISM, CISA, CompTIA Security, or similar are preferred.
