**Cable Design Engineer**

This role is a full-time position with global clients. The ideal candidate will have experience in EHV or HV cable design.

  • Perform technical reviews of sourcing requests from internal customers to ensure they meet the required standards.
  • Design high-voltage cables (EHV, HV) for various applications.
  • Support internal customers in optimizing their sourcing requests based on Supply Chain Partner capabilities.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for:

  • Reviewing cable inquiries from customers and converting them into cable sourcing requests.
  • Performing technical clarifications with our Supply Chain Partners to ensure that all technical requirements are met.
  • Using calculation tools (Excel) to define wire screen/metal sheath sizes and perform short circuit calculations.
  • Verifying conductor sizes using CYMCAP and performing drum length calculations with the drum length calculation tool (Excel).
  • Checking and accepting technical data sheets from our Supply Chain Partners.
  • Recording prequalification and type test coverage of the cables offered by our suppliers.

To be successful in this role, you should have an Engineering degree in the electrical field and at least 4 years of experience in a similar field.

**Key Responsibilities Include:**

  • Working closely with Supply Chain Partners to optimize sourcing requests.
  • Ensuring compliance with all technical requirements.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.

**Required Skills and Qualifications:**

  • Engineering degree in the electrical field.
  • At least 4 years of experience in a similar field.
  • Proficiency in Excel and other relevant tools.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
