**Job Title:** Credit Manager - Business Growth We are seeking a skilled and experienced Credit Manager to lead our business growth initiatives. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for underwriting mortgage business and managing the portfolio in assigned branches. Key Responsibilities:
  • Mortgage Underwriting: Review and assess complex loan applications within defined guidelines, making informed decisions or recommending approval to higher authorities.
  • Portfolio Management: Manage city/area business volumes, ensuring adherence to laid-down policies and procedures.
  • Credit Worthiness Assessment: Conduct personal discussions with customers to establish credit worthiness, ensuring completion of credit/KYC documents and verification through telephonic, field, and collateral visits.
  • Risk Assessment: Assess income to obligation ratios, loan to value ratios, and in-depth knowledge of the rational behind these calculations and their impact on loan performance over long tenures.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Maintain Portfolio MIS, Delinquency MIS, and other operations-related MIS of the cluster, regularly reporting key findings.
  • Client Relationships: Build and facilitate effective relationships with third parties to deliver the best outcomes for clients.
  • Problem-Solving: Take ownership of client queries, using industry knowledge and experience to overcome challenges and solve problems.
  • Process Improvement: Exceed service quality standards, striving for continuous process improvement.
  • Critical Review: Undertake critical reviews of credit proposals to identify industry, business, financial, management, and facility structure risks.
  • Credit Risk Mitigation: Ensure collateral and other credit risk mitigation to facilitate approving authorities' decision-making.
  • Quick Turnaround: Enable quick turnaround times for credit lending proposals, including loans against property and home loans, in close liaison with sales teams.
  • Ongoing Review: Undertake ongoing reviews of credit exposures to ensure they remain bankable.
  • Risk Monitoring: Facilitate critical review and documentation of proposals, monitoring client and collateral creditworthiness from pre-sanction to post-disbursement phases, and taking steps for risk mitigation as needed.
  • Branch Operations: Manage the credit underwriting function of assigned branches, facilitating quick turnaround of credit lending proposals in collaboration with local credit analysts and sales teams.
  • Recovery Initiatives: Follow up and ensure recovery of quick mortality cases between MOV.
