Job Opportunity

We are seeking a seasoned developer to lead our Commercial Data team in Advertising. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • End-to-end technical delivery of complex initiatives using agile methods and frameworks.
  • Providing technical leadership and guidance to the team as a subject matter expert in data engineering and related technologies.
  • Contribute to the design and architecture of scalable, efficient, and secure data solutions.
  • Provide guidance, support, and leadership to the team.
  • Establish effective ways of working within and across teams.
  • Embrace continuous learning and leverage latest development trends to solve complex challenges.
  • Drive delivery practices, run agile scrum ceremonies, and produce agile artefacts.
  • Collaborate with the development team to implement shift-left testing practices.
  • Conduct performance analysis, optimization, and tuning of data processing workflows and systems.
  • Support the team's iterations, scope, capacity, risks, issues, and timelines.
  • Participate in technical discussions, code reviews, and architectural reviews.
  • Mentor and coach engineers, fostering their professional growth.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define data governance policies and processes.

Requirements

We're looking for someone with:

  • 8-13 years' experience as a developer.
  • Proven people leadership and mentoring experience.
  • Well-versed in SQL, Python, ETL/ELT pipelines.
  • Experience with data modeling, pipelines, consumption, analysis, and documentation.
  • Knowledge of delivery approaches such as TDD, CI, and infrastructure automation.
  • A commitment to code quality and security.
  • Ability to foster a culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharing.
