Geographic Information Systems Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated Geographic Information System Specialist to join our team. As a specialist in geospatial analysis, you will be responsible for developing, deploying, and maintaining GIS applications using ArcGIS, Python, and JavaScript.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deploy scalable GIS solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform.
  • Communicate with customers to understand their technical requirements and develop appropriate architecture for implementations.
  • Analyze, review, and modify programming systems, including encoding, testing, and debugging.
  • Ensure software can be completely integrated into the customer's system.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • ArcGIS Desktop/Pro, Enterprise Geodatabase, Portal for ArcGIS, ArcGIS Online.
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript/Python and understanding how to build high-performance UI applications capable of visualizing large amounts of data.
  • Experience with front-end technologies (e.g., React, HTML, JavaScript, CSS languages and frameworks).
  • Knowledge of Azure Cloud is preferable.
  • Proven experience developing dynamic front-end web applications.
  • Writing clean code with well-defined abstractions that reduce complexity.
  • Passionate about implementing responsive and user-friendly interfaces.
  • Knowledge and utilization of REST API and other web services for integrating.
  • Experience with at least one RDBMS (SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.) and strong SQL skills.
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration.
  • Experience in Azure Repo with knowledge of git and Azure Containers.
  • Masters degree, GIS, Geographic Science, Computer Science, Survey Engineering, Related Field, or related bachelor's degree with some relevant experience.
