Secure Network Engineer Position

As a highly skilled network security engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing secure network infrastructure to protect against cyber threats. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with firewall design and implementation, as well as strong understanding of cloud networking concepts and compliance requirements.

  • Network Security and Design: Lead the design, deployment, and maintenance of secure network infrastructure, including switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
  • Compliance and Automation: Implement and automate regular network audits and compliance checks using automation tools such as Ansible and Terraform.
  • Cloud Network Security: Securely manage and segment network resources across AWS, Azure, and GCP, ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks.
  • Incident Response and Forensics: Respond to security incidents, perform traffic and port scans, and document findings to maintain audit trails.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with vendors, development teams, and compliance experts to deliver reliable and compliant infrastructure.
Required Skills and Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in network and/or SRE roles, with hands-on expertise in firewall design and implementation.
  • Strong grounding in IP networking, routing, switching, and relevant security protocols.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with automation tools such as Ansible, Python, and Bash in regulated environments.
  • Experience integrating security policies and controls into CI/CD pipelines and building auditability into network automations.
  • Competence using SIEM, DLP, and privileged access management solutions in accordance with regulatory frameworks.
