We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team.
Job Summary:
Maintain and update financial records for Australian companies. Prepare and process invoices, receipts, payments, and other financial transactions. Reconcile bank statements and accounts to ensure accuracy. Prepare financial statements, reports, and summaries. Manage accounts payable and receivable. Use accounting software such as Xero, MYOB, and NetSuite to perform bookkeeping tasks. Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies. Assist in preparing tax returns and ensuring compliance with Australian tax laws.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for clients.
- Process all financial transactions including invoices, receipts, payments, and credit notes.
- Reconcile bank statements and accounts on a timely basis.
- Prepare financial statements, reports, and summaries as required by clients or regulatory bodies.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring prompt payment and collection of amounts due.
- Use accounting software such as Xero, MYOB, and NetSuite to perform bookkeeping tasks, including data entry, reconciliations, and reporting.
- Conduct regular audits to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with Australian tax laws.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in bookkeeping and accounting.
- Proficiency in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong knowledge of accounting software such as Xero, MYOB, and NetSuite.
- Advanced Excel skills, including the ability to create and manage complex spreadsheets.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
