Job Title:

Revenue Recognition Associate

A key role is available for a highly skilled Revenue Recognition Associate.

  • Ensure revenue recognition adheres to applicable accounting standards through thorough contract reviews.
  • Prepare and post monthly journal entries related to revenue and associated accounts, maintaining accurate financial records.
  • Support quarterly and annual external audits by preparing documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
  • Nurture internal relationships within the organization, collaborating with Operations, General Ledger Accounting, IT, and other departments.
  • Perform various ad hoc revenue analysis and reporting as needed, providing actionable insights.
  • Assume accountability for special projects assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Commerce degree with 5-7 years of experience in accounting, preferably in revenue accounting.
  • Prior experience in public accounting and/or professional services or IT industry is desirable.
  • CA/CPA certification or pursuit of such certification is an asset.

Essential Skills:

  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of ASC 606 revenue recognition standard and US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
  • Exhibit solid oral and written communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure meeting deadlines.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
  • Display advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software tools.
  • Workday experience is beneficial.
