Strategic Planning and Development Leader

Established in 2010, a leading industrial conglomerate drives the global carbon black and battery materials industry with a vision to decarbonize economies and support cleaner technologies. Through its subsidiaries, the group has carved a niche for itself.

Job Description:

Develop strategic plans that align with the company's objectives and oversee their execution. Ensure timely and successful project delivery by coordinating with cross-functional teams.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Expertise in financial modeling and business case creation.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • High proficiency in tools like PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Strong collaboration and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Ability to navigate and deliver results in ambiguous and fast-changing environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Planning and Development: Developing & implementing the company's strategic plan in alignment.
  2. Project Management: Overseeing the execution of strategic projects & initiatives.
  3. Market Analysis and Competitive Intelligence: Analyzing market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments.
  4. Corporate Planning/Development: Identifying and evaluating potential mergers, acquisitions, partnerships, and alliances.
  5. Innovation and Growth Initiatives: Fostering a culture of innovation within the organization to drive growth.
  6. Stakeholder Engagement: Engaging with internal and external stakeholders to gather insights and build support for strategic initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BE | BTech in Chemical Engineering.
  • MBA from a Tier-1 institute (IIMs, ISB, XLRI, etc.).
  • 15 to 17 years of experience in strategic roles within the chemical or allied sectors.
  • Prior exposure to business development, corporate planning, or strategy consulting.
  • Experience in techno-commercial functions is a strong advantage.
