Taxation Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Chartered Accountant or Semi-Qualified Chartered Accountant with 3 years of articleship experience to establish a rewarding career in US Accounting and Taxation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • US Accounting Roles:
    • Perform bookkeeping and monthly closing activities, adhering to the principles of GAAP standards.
    • Prepare financial statements, bank reconciliations, and general ledger reviews to ensure accuracy and compliance.
    • Assist in accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and cash flow management to optimize business performance.
    • Familiarity with tools like QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite is beneficial.
  • US Taxation Roles:
    • Assist in the preparation and review of US tax returns (Individual – 1040, Corporate – 1120, Partnership – 1065) ensuring timely compliance with IRS and state tax laws.
    • Conduct tax research to provide expert advice on tax planning strategies under supervision.
    • Support clients during tax audits and filings to resolve any discrepancies.
    • Foster collaboration with cross-functional teams to drive business outcomes.
Candidate Requirements:
  • Qualified Chartered Accountant or Semi-Qualified CA (with minimum 3 years of articleship) to lead accounting initiatives.
  • Strong accounting fundamentals, including finalisation of accounts, reconciliations, and compliance to mitigate risks.
  • Adaptability to learn and apply US Accounting and Taxation standards in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with MS Excel; experience with accounting/tax software is advantageous.
