Job Description

As a key member of our IT team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the continuity and resilience of our critical systems and data. The Disaster Recovery Specialist will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive disaster recovery plans to minimize downtime in the event of a disaster.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans (DRP) for all critical systems and data.
  • Conduct risk assessments and business impact analyses to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Coordinate with IT teams to ensure DR plans are aligned with infrastructure and network configuration.
  • Implement and update disaster recovery strategies to minimize downtime in a disaster.
  • Design and implement comprehensive backup and restoration strategies for all systems, data, and applications.
  • Maintain backup retention policies in line with organizational and regulatory requirements.
  • Exercises backup systems regularly to ensure data can be restored promptly and efficiently.
  • Coordinate and execute regular disaster recovery and backup exercises, including failover and restoration procedures.
  • Maintain compliance with relevant laws and regulations through regular audits and reporting.


Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience in disaster recovery planning and implementation.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing effective disaster recovery plans.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
