Senior Animator and Visual Storyteller

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Animator and Visual Storyteller to join our team and help us produce high-quality, animated educational videos.

You will play a key role in breaking down complex topics into clean, engaging, and visually compelling stories that resonate with beginners and experienced users alike.

To achieve this goal, you will work closely with scriptwriters, product teams, and creative leads to bring content to life in a way that showcases your expertise in animation and storytelling.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and animate explainer videos in a style similar to Coinbase Learn, utilizing your skills in Adobe After Effects as the primary tool for motion graphics.
  • Transform scripts and storyboards into polished motion videos that captivate audiences and convey complex ideas in an engaging manner.
  • Collaborate with copywriters and SMEs to simplify complex content and make it more accessible to a wider audience.
  • Create animated assets (charts, UI flows, crypto concepts) that enhance the overall visual experience of our educational videos.
  • Record or edit voiceovers, sync audio, and apply subtle sound design to create an immersive experience for our viewers.
  • Maintain brand style guides, animation principles, and reusable templates to ensure consistency across all our educational content.
  • Optimize videos for YouTube, app platforms, and social media to maximize their reach and engagement.
Tools & Skills:
  • Adobe After Effects (must-have) - primary tool for motion graphics.
  • Figma / Adobe Illustrator - design and export vector assets.
  • Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve - for final cuts & audio sync.
  • Audacity / Adobe Audition - voice cleanup, background audio.
  • Descript - for AI-powered video editing & transcription.
  • Experience sourcing royalty-free music (Artlist, Epidemic Sound).
  • Comfortable with AI voiceover tools (like ElevenLabs) or studio VO.
  • Blender (optional) - For 3D animations or visual flair.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • 3-6 years in motion design, video content creation, or explainer video production.
  • A solid portfolio of 2D or motion graphic explainers (crypto or fintech domain is a big plus).
  • Strong storytelling ability and comfort working with abstract concepts.
  • Ability to work under creative direction while also proposing improvements.
  • Bonus: familiarity with Web3, tokens, wallets, or DeFi systems.
