Global Tax Specialist

As a skilled professional, you will work closely with global tax, finance, deal, and legal teams on various compliance and reporting projects. Your role involves managing full-cycle US tax compliance for assigned funds and legal entities (partnerships and corporate entities).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Efficiency: Oversee the management of full-cycle US tax compliance for assigned funds and legal entities.
  • Tax Return Review: Review federal and state tax returns (Forms 1065, 1120, 1120-F, 1042/8804), investor reporting (Schedules K-1, K-2, K-3), and tax provisions for blocker corporations.
  • Tax Calculation: Analyze tax withholding calculations for distributions within tight deadlines.
  • Investment Analysis: Interpret investment structures and apply appropriate tax treatments.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through automation and technology adoption; collaborate with tax technology teams to implement solutions.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Effective Communication: Communicate effectively with investors, banks, external tax/legal advisors, and global teams.
  • Clear Responses: Draft clear and professional responses to investor tax queries and ad-hoc requests.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with colleagues across global offices to ensure timely and accurate compliance reporting.

Requirements:

  • Education: A bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
  • Experience: 5–8 years of tax compliance experience within multinational financial services, asset management, or Big 4 advisory.
  • Tax Knowledge: Strong knowledge of US partnership and corporate tax compliance, including Schedules K-1, K-2, K-3, withholding, and corporate provisions (Forms 1120, 1120-F).
  • Fund Structures: Familiarity with fund structures such as blockers, feeders, parallel funds, and co-investment vehicles.
  • Data Analytics Tools: Experience reviewing and updating tax workbooks for annual taxable income.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication skills with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for diverse stakeholders.
  • Organizational Skills: Highly organized, responsive, and able to manage competing priorities under tight deadlines.
