Beauty Devices Innovation Manager

As a Beauty Devices Innovation Manager, you will be responsible for end-to-end innovation of beauty devices and accessories. This includes defining problem statements, user requirements, and success metrics; aligning with brand, supply chain, and finance strategies.

Your primary responsibility is to develop a comprehensive roadmap and product requirements documents (PRDs) that ensure alignment with the company's design-led, system-integrated approach. You will also drive new product development (NPD) from concept to prototype, managing tooling, tolerances, materials, and reliability testing.

  • Develop product roadmaps and PRDs aligned with the company's strategic goals;
  • Manage NPD projects from concept to production, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards;
  • Evaluate technology decisions, including motor, heat, airflow modules, power electronics, and safety considerations;
  • Identify and qualify vendors and suppliers, negotiate minimum order quantities (MOQs), and build should-cost models;
  • Plan test protocols and documentation for compliance with relevant industry standards;
  • Partner with industrial designers to ensure ergonomics, acoustic comfort, thermals, and serviceability, as well as packaging fit and specifications;
  • Pilot builds, line setup, SOPs, spares, after-sales, user manuals, and risk registers to ensure go-to-market readiness;
  • Track field performance, NPS/reviews, and failure modes, driving rapid revisions and cost/quality improvements.
Must-Have Qualifications:
  • 6-10 years of experience in hardware NPD for small appliances/consumer electronics/beauty devices;
  • Proven DFM/DFX, basic EE/ME literacy (PCBA, plastics, metals, silicone), tooling, and reliability testing skills;
  • Strong vendor management skills, hands-on with RFQs, BOMs, PPAP/FAT, in India, China, or Korea;
  • Familiarity with industry compliance pathways for consumer devices;
  • Proficiency in CAD (SolidWorks/Creo), FEA/CFD interpretation, Jira/PLM, and Excel for should-costs;
  • Ability to run parallel tracks and meet deadlines.
