Data Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled data professional to join our team and take ownership of the design, development, and maintenance of our Oracle-based Data Warehouse.

This role involves designing stable, reliable, and effective database programs to meet user needs. You will also be responsible for PL/SQL and SQL Tuning and Optimization of newly developed and existing applications.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and developing database programs to ensure that data processing production systems meet user needs.
  • Tuning and optimizing PL/SQL and SQL code to improve performance.
  • Providing data analysis and validation to support business decisions.

You will work closely with internal and external clients to understand their requirements, explain issues, and prioritize work. Your expertise in software development, particularly in Oracle databases, is essential for this role.

We require a candidate with advanced database development experience (Oracle SQL/PLSQL), strong SQL development, analytics, and tuning skills, excellent analytical and organizational skills, and strong communication skills.

The ideal candidate will have 3-8 years of experience in a similar role, with strong expertise in HL7, US Healthcare, client-facing experience, database development, ETL experience, and communication skills.
