Senior Data Centre Design Leader

We are seeking a seasoned design and engineering leader to drive the end-to-end design of data centres. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of electrical, mechanical, civil/structural, fire & life safety, and controls.

About the Role
  • Lead and sign off on detailed designs ensuring compliance, constructibility, reliability, sustainability, and scalability.
  • Collaborate with various teams for seamless project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage external firms and consultants – reviewing and approving technical submissions.
  • Optimise designs for power usage effectiveness, water usage effectiveness, capital expenditure, and operational expenditure through value engineering.
  • Build and mentor a multidisciplinary design engineering team.
Requirements
  • 12–15 years' experience with 7–10 years in data centre design.
  • Expertise in medium voltage / low voltage systems, cooling technologies, building management systems, and mission-critical infrastructure.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, BIM 360, ETAP/SKM, computational fluid dynamics, Trane Trace, Pipe-Flo, Bluebeam.
  • Strong knowledge of global standards: Uptime Institute, ASHRAE, NFPA, TIA-942, NEC/IEC, IS codes.
  • Proven leadership in hyperscale data centres, cloud platforms, or mission-critical projects.
  • Stability in prior roles (3–4 years minimum).
  • Possession of passion for innovation, operational excellence, and sustainability.
