Deal Evaluation Specialist

The role of a deal evaluation specialist involves consolidating input from multiple teams and translating it into effective deal commercials.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Presentation Preparation: Creating customer pricing presentation sheets, along with listing key deal commercial terms and conditions.
  • Risk Management: Ensuring deal commercials are aligned with appropriate risk protection against Forex, international taxation, global labor laws (e.g., ARD and TUPE), etc.
  • Contract Review: Redlining, reviewing, and discussing contracts with the internal team (delivery, legal, business, etc.) and participating in customer negotiations.
  • Financial Analysis: Preparing deal P&L as per IFRS, deal cash flow, and balance sheet.
  • Termination Planning: Preparing deal termination schedules.
  • Accounting Treatment: Identifying accounting treatment of cost items in the deal P&L that aligns with accounting standards (GAAP and IFRS).
  • Cost Inputs Coordination: Coordinating with multiple internal teams for cost inputs and deal solution discussions.
  • Risk Identification: Identifying commercial and contracting risks in deals, highlighting them to leadership, and suggesting or deploying mitigation approaches.
  • Reporting and Accounting: Collaborating with other finance functions on reporting and accounting requirements.
  • Multitasking: Ability to multitask between priorities to meet organizational deadlines and quality expectations.
  • System Enhancement: Interfacing and coordinating with the development team on system enhancements and maintaining strong internal controls.
