Advanced Physics Research Specialist

We're seeking researchers with expertise in physics and analytical skills to help refine large language models. Your work will focus on enhancing the models' ability to understand and solve complex physics problems, including multi-step conceptual or quantitative questions in areas like mechanics, electromagnetism, thermodynamics, and quantum theory.
Research Objectives:As part of this research-focused initiative, you may be asked to complete tasks such as determining the maximum radial distance an electron reaches from a cylindrical conductor's axis due to a magnetic field or calculating the probability of a high-energy pion decaying within a certain distance from its origin.
These tasks are designed to identify model weaknesses and improve training and evaluation workflows.
Candidate Requirements:- A Ph.D. or postdoctoral experience in physics or a related field is required.
- Strong analytical skills, including the ability to solve advanced physics problems with clear reasoning.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex topics clearly and provide precise feedback.
- Research independence, enabling you to work effectively in a remote environment and participate actively in team discussions.
- Access to a reliable computer and internet setup for remote assignments.
Contract Details:
- Minimum 20 hours per week with 4 hours of overlap with PST.
- Contract duration: 1 month.
