Job Title: Dam Design Expert

This role requires expertise in dam design and rehabilitation, working closely with the project team to ensure dam safety and management.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Review and assess designs for rehabilitation works, focusing on design aspects and basic layout plans.
  • Preliminary designs for rehabilitation works must be finalized before submission to stakeholders.
  • Review technical bid documents, bill of quantities, and technical specifications for rehabilitation activities.
  • Need-based design of major rehabilitation components is required to support implementation activities.
  • Cost estimation based on item rate analysis or Scheduled of Rates (SOR) is essential.
  • Expert input is necessary for physical modelling of significant structural interventions.
  • Dam safety inspections and transmittals must be conducted and managed effectively.
  • Capacity building of staff through customized training programs at various levels is crucial.
  • The revision of existing guidelines and formulation of new ones will be contributed to.
Requirements:
  • Strong expertise in dam design and rehabilitation.
