About the Role

We are seeking an accomplished Data Platform Engineering Lead to spearhead the design and development of our core data foundation. This strategic position will be responsible for architecting clean, scalable models and driving data platform strategy to fuel high-velocity product development.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing, developing, and maintaining a robust semantic layer and modular dbt pipelines
  • Leading schema design, documentation, and data contracts across the analytics and application layer
  • Defining and enforcing data platform best practices, versioning, and governance for all data models
  • Implementing data testing, observability, and quality automation to ensure confidence at scale
  • Guiding tool selection and platform evolution across the modern data stack
  • Collaborating with engineering, product, and analytics teams to deliver reliable data-backed features
  • Mentoring a growing team of engineers and participating in architecture planning and reviews

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 10+ years of experience in backend or data engineering roles
  • Deep expertise designing and maintaining normalized and dimensional data models
  • Advanced proficiency in dbt (macros, packages, tests, modularization, docs)
  • Expertise in SQL, with a focus on PostgreSQL
  • Strong Python scripting for transformation logic and automation
