Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled QA Lead to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality assurance methodologies and a proven track record of ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of data processes and systems.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the planning, design, and execution of ETL/data warehousing testing activities, including test strategy development, test planning, test case creation, and test execution.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Design and implement test cases and test scenarios to validate data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across various data sources and transformations.
- Develop and maintain test automation frameworks and scripts for ETL/data warehousing testing to improve efficiency and repeatability of testing processes.
- Perform root cause analysis of defects and work closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution and prevent recurrence.
- Lead and mentor QA team members, providing guidance, training, and support in ETL/data warehousing testing best practices and methodologies.
- Conduct risk assessments and prioritize testing efforts based on project timelines, criticality, and potential impact on data integrity.
- Monitor and report on the progress of testing activities, including test execution results, defect metrics, and overall quality status.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to validate data migration processes and ensure successful data transfers between systems.
- Minimum 7+ years of QA experience in data projects.
- Good experience in ETL/Data warehouse projects.
- Collaborate with the Development/Business teams to understand the requirements.
- Analyzing Business Requirements/cases and developing/managing the positive/negative test scenarios cases.
- Ability to create test files to validate Business requirements and metadata layer configurations.
- Strong knowledge in writing complex SQL queries for data analysis.
- Ability to perform root cause analysis on defects.
- Strong analytical and technical skills to address data issues.
- Experience using Jira to track work assignments.
- Working experience in Cloud-related projects.
- Working experience in AWS/AWS Services is a big plus.
- Ability to adapt to new environments and learn in-house tools and practices.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
