Job Title: Educational Leader for Primary Years Programme

Role Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned and accomplished educational leader to spearhead our Primary Years Programme. This is an exceptional opportunity for a visionary educator to contribute to the growth of students in their formative years.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and review the PYP curriculum to ensure alignment with IB guidelines, providing a comprehensive and engaging learning experience for students.
  • Collaborate with teachers to foster a culture of inquiry, creativity, and critical thinking, promoting student-centered learning.
  • Provide expert guidance and support for teachers in developing transdisciplinary units and inquiry-based learning experiences, driving academic excellence.
  • Organize and lead professional development workshops and training sessions for staff, enhancing their skills and knowledge.
  • Engage with parents and the school community to promote understanding of the PYP, building strong relationships and trust.
  • Coordinate student assessments and maintain records as per IB requirements, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
  • Stay updated with IB developments and changes, maintaining adherence to IB standards and best practices.
  • Facilitate communication between stakeholders, including teachers, parents, and the IB organization, ensuring seamless collaboration and information exchange.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Master's Degree or Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
  • IB PYP Coordinator training or certification.
  • 10+ years of teaching experience and strong understanding of the IB framework, particularly the PYP.
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong leadership abilities and commitment to professional growth.
