Job Title: Dental Payment Processor

Are you a meticulous and organized individual with experience in payment processing?

  • Responsibilities:
  1. Accurate Payment Posting: Process insurance payments, electronic remittance advices (ERAs), and patient payments into dental billing software.
  2. Deposit Reconciliation: Verify deposits against bank statements and daily payment reports to ensure all payments are accounted for.
  3. Benefit Review: Examine Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) and ERAs to identify underpayments, overpayments, and denials.
  4. Discrepancy Flagging: Identify and escalate discrepancies or trends in denials or payment issues to the relevant department.
  5. Adjustment Posting: Post adjustments (e.g., write-offs, contractual adjustments) according to payer contracts and internal policies.
  6. Patient Account Management: Monitor and maintain the accuracy of patient accounts and balances.
  7. Appeals and Collections: Collaborate with the appeals or collections team for timely resolution of denied or unpaid claims.
  8. HIPAA Compliance: Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality at all times.
  9. Productivity Goals: Meet daily and monthly productivity and accuracy goals.

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of experience in payment processing.
  • Experience with dental management software.
  • Excellent attention to detail and numerical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Full English proficiency.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and G-suite applications.
