Director of Strategic Initiatives

Expand our impact through new flagship initiatives and lead the execution of this ambitious portfolio.

This high-visibility leadership role will work directly with the executive team, event partners, and sponsors globally. Key responsibilities include prioritizing, planning, and implementing strategic initiatives, managing complex projects, securing partnerships, and ensuring timely execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Portfolio Management: Prioritize initiatives based on impact, ROI, and strategic value.
  • Prioritize initiatives to maximize their impact, ROI, and strategic value.
  • Develop a phased roadmap (0–12m, 12–24m, 24–36m) to guide initiative execution.
  • Execution & Delivery: Lead cross-functional teams and vendors to execute initiatives, develop and manage budgets, timelines, and KPIs.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with global policymakers, enterprise executives, event organizers, and sponsors to advance initiatives.
  • Sponsorship & Revenue Enablement: Align initiatives with corporate and NGO partner goals to support sponsorship strategy.
  • Team Leadership: Oversee initiative managers, consultants, and interns, establish clear goals, dashboards, and reporting systems.

Qualifications:

  • 10 – 15 years of experience in program management, strategic initiatives, or operations, ideally in AI, technology policy, or global nonprofits.
  • A proven track record in managing multi-million-dollar programs and complex initiatives.
  • A strong understanding of AI, governance, and emerging technologies.
  • Exceptional project management skills with ability to juggle multiple initiatives.
  • Experience working with corporate sponsors, government partners, or international organizations.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset with ability to work independently, adapt quickly, and take ownership of outcomes.
