Estimation Engineer Role

The primary goal of the Estimation Engineer is to deliver accurate cost estimates for machined and fabricated components.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop Cost Estimates: Create detailed estimates for machined and fabricated components, considering materials, labor costs, and other factors.
  • Analyze Technical Specifications: Carefully examine technical specifications and drawings to develop Bills of Quantities (BOQs) that accurately reflect project requirements.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with design, procurement, and sales teams to ensure accurate project costing and optimize vendor pricing.
  • Conduct Reverse Engineering: Perform reverse engineering and estimation for new developments, identifying key components and developing cost-effective solutions.
  • Identify Cost-Saving Opportunities: Continuously monitor project costs and identify opportunities for cost savings through optimized vendor pricing and efficient resource allocation.
  • Maintain Cost Databases: Maintain and update cost databases for bought-out items, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information for future projects.
  • Support RFQ/RFP Responses: Support the preparation of Requests for Quotation/Request for Proposal (RFQ/RFP) responses and techno-commercial proposals, highlighting key features and benefits of our products and services.
