Job Title:

A Medical Content Specialist is required to review, edit and ensure the quality of medical documents. This role involves working with writers and subject matter experts to produce clear content for publication or regulatory submission.

  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for editing various types of deliverables including research articles and abstracts.
  • They will also be responsible for checking language, grammar, spelling and punctuation, as well as maintaining consistency of language and adherence to style guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Reviewing and Editing Medical Writing Deliverables
  • Maintaining Consistency and Adherence to Style Guidelines
  • Ensuring Correctness of Font and Symbols
  • Uniformity in Formatting and Spacing
Document Formatting:
  • Formatting Documents Based on Journal/Conference Guidelines
  • Ensuring Content Adheres to Relevant Style Guides (e.g., AMA Manual of Style)
Quality Assurance:
  • Delivering High-Quality Edits that Exceed Client Expectations
  • Performing Basic Functionality and Link Checks
  • Proofreading Adaptations to Ensure Comments are Addressed

The ideal candidate should have a Master's Degree in Life Sciences or a related field and 3+ years of experience in medical editing within the pharmaceutical industry.

They should also have excellent knowledge of the English language, strong project management skills, attention to detail with a focus on scientific accuracy and compliance, and the ability to work under tight timelines in a collaborative environment.
