Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Ophthalmologist to join our team as a Medical Data Labeling Specialist. In this role, you will play a critical part in developing and refining artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) models in ophthalmology by accurately annotating and labeling medical data.

The ideal candidate will have extensive clinical knowledge of various eye conditions and a strong understanding of medical image annotation. You will work closely with our AI engineers and data scientists to ensure the clinical validity of guidelines and collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities:

  • Data Annotation: Reviewing and annotating ophthalmic data like fundus images, OCT scans, and other visual data to identify anatomical structures and disease markers.
  • Adherence to Protocols: Consistently applying standardized grading protocols for accurate and consistent labeling.
  • Quality Control & Feedback: Participating in calibration sessions and reviews to maintain annotation consistency.
  • Collaboration: Working with AI engineers and data scientists to validate AI model outputs for clinical accuracy and safety.
Qualifications and Skills

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • MBBS degree with at least 1-2 years of clinical experience.
  • Extensive clinical knowledge of various eye conditions.
  • Experience in medical record documentation and data interpretation.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in English.
