Epsilon Group is a leading industrial conglomerate driving the global carbon black and battery materials industry with a vision to decarbonize economies. The company has carved a niche for itself through its subsidiaries, Epsilon Carbon and Epsilon Advanced Materials.

Epsilon Carbon operates India's first fully integrated carbon facility in Bellary, Karnataka, specializing in carbon black and specialized carbon derivatives. The facility has an annual capacity of 115,000 metric tons and 320,000 TPA, respectively, and is poised for expansion.

The role requires developing and implementing strategic plans in alignment with the company's vision. This involves overseeing project execution, analyzing market trends, and providing insights and recommendations based on market analysis. Additionally, the role includes fostering a culture of innovation within the organization and engaging with internal and external stakeholders to gather insights and build support for strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning: Developing and implementing strategic plans to drive business growth and achieve company objectives.
  • Project Management: Overseeing the execution of strategic projects and initiatives, ensuring timely and successful delivery.
  • Market Analysis: Analyzing market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to inform strategic decisions.
  • Innovation: Fostering a culture of innovation within the organization to drive growth and stay ahead of the competition.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Engaging with internal and external stakeholders to gather insights and build support for strategic initiatives.

Key Skills & Attributes:

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to think critically.
  • Expertise in financial modeling and business case creation.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey insights to senior stakeholders.
  • High proficiency in tools like PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to manage stakeholders effectively.
  • Ability to navigate and deliver results in ambiguous and fast-changing business environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
  • MBA from a Tier-1 institute (e.g., IIMs, ISB, XLRI).
  • 15 to 17 years of experience in strategic roles within the chemical or allied sectors.
  • Prior exposure to business development, corporate planning, or strategy consulting.
  • Experience in techno-commercial functions is a strong advantage.
