Linux Automation Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Linux Automation Engineer to lead the design, deployment, and operation of automated patch, vulnerability, and configuration compliance frameworks across Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) endpoints.

This role involves scripting, integration, compliance reporting, and collaboration with security and audit teams in a large-scale enterprise environment.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Linux system administration and automation, with experience in enterprise patch management and compliance frameworks.

They will be responsible for designing and implementing automated patch remediation for RHEL 7/8/9 systems, developing and maintaining scripts for compliance enforcement, and integrating patch management with enterprise dashboards and reporting tools.

In addition, the successful candidate will ensure compliance with regulatory standards, generate audit-ready reports and dashboards for patch status and vulnerability closure, and provide training and knowledge transfer to team members.

Key skills required for this role include advanced proficiency in RHEL 7/8/9, strong scripting skills in Bash, Python, and YAML, and experience with automation tools such as Ansible and Red Hat Satellite.

Familiarity with integration protocols such as SNMP, WinRM, and SSH is also desirable.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Linux system administration and automation
  • Proven experience in enterprise patch management and compliance frameworks
  • Advanced proficiency in RHEL 7/8/9
  • Strong scripting skills in Bash, Python, and YAML
  • Experience with automation tools such as Ansible and Red Hat Satellite
