Oracle Finance Specialist: Job Overview

About the Role
  • We are seeking an experienced Oracle finance professional to join our team in a key support role.
Job Responsibilities
  • The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in Oracle Fusion applications and excellent analytical skills.
  • Provide functional support for ERP Fusion Finance applications (AP, AR, GL, FA, CM, IC, Tax, Expense).
  • Identify and apply creative approaches to resolving product implementation and integration obstacles and problems.
  • Manage functional requests from end-user community.
  • Define functional request priorities, write functional specifications, and coordinate developments with technical teams.
  • Review Oracle Fusion quarterly functional updates, understand, map to business needs, test/validate cross-functional, and deploy them upon business confirmation.
  • Design and develop OTBI reports, FRC reports, and write basic data extraction queries using SQL.
  • Support and manage all finance and third-party integrations.
  • Establish/redefine reconciliation process and reports and support business users during month-end and year-end reconciliation process.
  • Design and define process-wise custom fusion roles and provide data access as appropriate.
  • Work with Oracle support teams for application bugs/enhancements.
  • Encourage business use of Oracle standard functionalities and reports.
  • Map business requirements and translate these requirements into Oracle Applications functional specifications.
  • Develop unit test scripts and coordinate User Acceptance Testing of system enhancements or custom solutions.
  • Work with Oracle to resolve service requests.
  • Lead and direct system life cycle phases.
  • Handle period closing and reconciliation process between sub-ledger and third-party systems.
  • Reports build and customization based on end-user requirements.
  • Train end-user community on systems where applicable.
  • Participate in audits of system use, detect and collect issues, implement action plans, and coordinate actions.
  • Adhere to and support existing ITIL service management processes, such as change management, incident management, and problem management.
  • Regularly communicate to users the status of support or enhancement requests.
  • Collaborate with ERP support teams across other domains to ensure timely resolution of incidents.
