Financial Accountant Position

The role involves overseeing the financial operations of a firm, ensuring compliance with relevant US and Indian tax laws and regulations.

  • Fund Accounting:
    • Manage day-to-day fund accounting activities, including maintaining general ledgers, journals, and financial statements for the fund.
    • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for stakeholders, ensuring accurate and timely submission.
  • US Taxation Compliance:
    • Ensure compliance with US taxation laws for venture capital funds, including preparation and filing of tax returns.
    • Monitor and stay updated on changes in US tax regulations affecting the fund's operations and investor relations.
  • Payroll Management (Indian Employees):
    • Oversee the payroll processing for Indian employees, ensuring compliance with local tax laws and regulations.
    • Manage the calculation of salaries, bonuses, and deductions, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Financial Reporting & Analysis:
    • Assist in the preparation of financial reports and audits, providing insights into the financial health of the firm.
    • Prepare budgets, financial forecasts, and variance analysis to support decision-making at the leadership level.
  • Regulatory Compliance:
    • Ensure that financial operations comply with relevant regulations, including fund reporting and tax filings for both US and Indian jurisdictions.

Key qualifications include 4+ years of experience in financial accounting, fund accounting, or a related role, with a strong understanding of US taxation for venture capital firms.

Other requirements include experience in payroll management for Indian employees, with in-depth knowledge of Indian tax laws.
