Job Title: Business Information Specialist

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the delivery of complex business transformation projects.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to design and implement data solutions.
  • Perform requirements gathering, analysis, and elicitation across various stakeholders, collaborating with IT teams to interface those requirements and deliver a working solution.
  • Develop and maintain relevant business intelligence artifacts that enable development teams to develop effective products.
  • Understand the end-to-end user journey, extending beyond system boundaries.
  • Provide advanced business acumen and technical support for requirements development.
  • Create/enhance logical and physical data models in line with agreed standards, catering to both business and technical needs.
  • Conduct metadata analysis, including entity and attribute naming, table and column definitions, data types, and length etc.
  • Develop and maintain data models.

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

  • Strong business intelligence and/or data modeling experience of 4-10 years.
  • Excellent financial domain knowledge and data analysis skills, covering activities like requirement gathering, elicitation, gap analysis, data analysis, effort estimation, reviews, translating high-level functional or business requirements into technical solutions, database designing, and data mapping.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Data Modeling (conceptual, logical, and physical), creating and delivering high-quality data models by adhering to agreed data governance and standards.
  • Maintain accurate, complete, consistent, unambiguous, reliable, accessible, traceable, and valid quality metadata and data-related artifacts.
  • Be an individual contributor with a good understanding of SDLC & Agile methodologies.
  • A team player with a self-starter approach, having a sense of ownership, problem-solving skills, and ability to work in fast-paced environments.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of building rapport and relationships.
  • Act as a liaison between business and technical teams to bridge gaps and facilitate project delivery.
  • Required Skills and Tools: SQL, MS-Office tools, GCP Big Query, Erwin, Visual Paradigm (preferred).
